This one was done for a theme show at the Mission Art Gallery called "Tea for Two".  This is the fourth painting i've done using the black and white fabric as the background which I love, i'm sure it will feature in some more of my paintings.  Painting something that is supposed to give the illusion of white is always an interesting challenge.  I started off by painting the entire canvas in a very light grey.  The china  was done mostly with various values of a bluish grey, white was used as a final high light..
